The Innocence Project has long-supported Temujin Kensu's innocence. Check out their bio on Temujin (formerly known as Fred Freeman) here!
Mike Mongan and his late wife, Dorothy who passed in 2020, have been supporters of Temujin Kensu for decades after they met him through a mutual friend who was a supporter of Temujin’s innocence and visited him in prison. In fact, the Mongan’s after hearing of Temujin’s story and supporting his innocence for many years, desired to adopt him as their son. Although the adoption never formally occurred, Mike supports Temujin to this day and over the years constructed and built a chronological timeline of events on a website he maintains here.
Temujin is showcased on the Michigan Innocence Clinic’s website which is the legal arm of University of Michigan Law School.
Proving Innocence is a Michigan based non-profit that's mission commits to freeing innocent men and women who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for crimes they did not commit and assists with their reintegration into society. Proving Innocence has been in support of Temujin Kensu for decades. However, in Nov 2024, Proving Innocence made the tough decision to dissolve the non-profit and their website is no longer active.
